Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman who was found outside an east Fort Worth motel on July 31, police said.

Zeinabou Banks died on the grounds of the Eco Motel, located at 3201 E. Lancaster Ave., about 3:50 a.m., according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website. The 50-year-old’s cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy.

Banks’ address is listed as the Eco Motel, according to court records. She was arrested at the motel May 31 on prostitution and drug possession charges. Her attorney did not immediately return a request for comment Thursday.

According to police reports, officers have been called to the Eco Motel at least 15 times this year for a variety of offenses, including assault, criminal trespassing, theft and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
