Man shot in Fort Worth robbery dies from complications weeks later, examiner says

A man who was shot during a robbery in Fort Worth on May 27 has died from his injuries, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The victim, 24-year-old Herbert Denorris Davis, was robbed in an apartment complex parking lot at 1021 Woodlands Circle, according to a police report. Police recovered ten 9 millimeter casings and five .40 casings from the scene at the time.

Davis died in surgery Thursday afternoon, June 12, at John Peter Smith Hospital from complications from a gunshot wound to the torso, according to the medical examiner’s office.

No arrests had been made in the case as of Thursday afternoon, June 19.
