Bomb threat prompts evacuation of Carroll district school in Southlake
An anonymous bomb threat Friday morning prompted the evacuation of a Carroll district elementary school in Southlake, police said.
Old Union Elementary School was cleared of students as a precaution as officers and firefighters investigated the threat that was received about 10:30 a.m., Southlake police said.
Shortly after the first threat, a 911 operator received a call falsely reporting shots fired at the school.
No device or other danger was found at the school, at 1050 S. Carroll Ave., police said.
Buses drove students to the Carroll school district’s administrative office at 2400 N. Carroll Ave., where they were picked up by their parents.
Police are investigating to determine the source of the threats.
