Fort Worth murder suspect sent photo of body, blood to group chat, police say

A person who received a group chat photo of a female and blood alerted police, who early Friday found a body inside the west Fort Worth house of the man who sent the image.

Alexander Valdez had blood on himself when officers arrived at the front door in the 9900 block of Farmers Branch Street, a Fort Worth police spokesperson said.

Homicide detectives about 9:30 a.m. arrested Valdez, 23, on suspicion of murder. He was booked at the city jail.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the name or age of the victim or the cause or manner of her death.

Police were dispatched to the house about 1:30 a.m.

Police have not publicly described a motive for the killing.
