A man who shot his wife to death in 2024 has been sentenced to 50 years in prison, according to the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office.

A jury convicted 34-year-old Christopher Robertson of shooting his wife, Kristlynne, in the face and leaving her body wrapped in tarp in a bedroom, officials said.

Robertson admitted to the killing during an interview with Fort Worth police shortly afterward, according to an affidavit.

“My father-in-law is going to kill me,” Robertson told a 911 operator. “I actually killed his daughter.”

Kristlynn was the mother of five children. She loved video games, crocheting and country music, her family told WFAA-TV. The family had warned her that she should leave her husband.
