1 person wounded in stabbing Sunday afternoon in Fort Worth, police say

One person was injured and taken to hospital after a stabbing in west Fort Worth on Sunday March. 9, police said.

Officers responded to a stabbing call around 4:30 p.m. to the 8600 block of Calmont Avenue. When they arrived officers found a victim with a stab wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police said one suspect is in custody. The Criminal Investigation Unit will be determining the circumstances that led to the stabbing.
