A former Fort Worth radio host who was serving seven years on probation with deferred adjudication in a sexual assault case has been arrested after prosecutors said he failed to meet terms of his community supervision, according to court records.

Justin Barrett Frazell, 51, a former host on Fort Worth’s KFWR 95.9 The Ranch, pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in his home in Mansfield in 2022, according to the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office.

The terms of his probation included requiring that Frazell register as a sex offender, not own any guns, and not use drugs or alcohol, the District Attorney’s Office said.

According to a Feb. 3 court document obtained by the Star-Telegram, prosecutors said that Frazell failed to successfully complete a sex offender treatment program from which he was discharged in December. Additionally, he provided a diluted urine sample in one instance and failed to provide a urine sample in another during his routine drug tests, the document states.

Prosecutors have filed a petition with the court to revoke his probation and adjudicate the case, which means that Frazell could be sentenced to serve time in prison.

Frazell had a court hearing scheduled on Friday morning, Feb. 28, and the judge set his bond at $50,000. He has been held in the Tarrant County Jail since Feb. 18 on the probation violations, jail records show.

Another hearing is scheduled on April 1 on the prosecution’s petition to revoke his probation.

The lead defense attorney on his case did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
