Suspect arrested after stabbing victim in face, Fort Worth police say

A suspect was arrested after allegedly stabbing a person in the face at a residence in west Fort Worth on Sunday, Jan. 12, Fort Worth police said.

Around 3:36 a.m., officers were dispatched to a stabbing call at 8168 Marydean Ave. Investigators say the incident began as a verbal altercation that quickly escalated.

When officers arrived they found the victim with a deep laceration to the face. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Police said a suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Detectives are still investigating the incident, police said.
