A man was arrested after a SWAT team responded to a domestic violence incident at a Fort Worth home early Monday morning, police said.

Fort Worth police responded to a domestic disturbance call around 1:15 a.m. Dec. 16 at a house in the 700 block of McCurdy Street. A 911 caller reported a man at the location had access to a gun.

When officers arrived, they found a victim with non-life-threatening injuries who was transported to a local hospital, a police spokesperson said.

Tony Cervantes, 40, was arrested and faces a charge of assaulting a family member by impeding breath or circulation. Cervantes was booked in the city jail, record shows.

SWAT units were called out to assist, and family violence detectives will investigate the case, police said.
