Police arrest suspect after man is killed in shooting outside North Texas Walmart
Frisco police arrested a murder suspect in the shooting death of a victim outside a Walmart store on Wednesday night, Nov. 13.
Officers responded to a report of gunshots near the Walmart on the northeast corner of Eldorado Parkway and FM 423 shortly before 8:30 p.m.
A 22-year-old man was shot and a witness reported the suspect had fled the area in a gray sedan, police said.
The victim, identified as Ja’Karrion Craig, was found lying in the Walmart parking lot with gunshot wounds to his chest and foot, authorities said.
Despite attempts at lifesaving measures by officers and Frisco Fire Department personnel, Craig died at a local hospital.
After investigators conducted multiple interviews and reviewed security video of the shooting, a suspect in the homicide was identified, police said.
The suspect was found at their residence and taken into custody without incident by Frisco SWAT officers on Thursday morning, Nov. 14. Police have not released the suspect’s name.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
