Terrell police rescued a kidnapped victim and seized crystal meth and firearms after pursuing a stolen vehicle on Tuesday, Nov. 5, officials said.

Police received a Flock camera alert for a vehicle that was linked with a robbery and reported to be stolen, according to alert from the Dallas Police Department.

The car was located in the 1300 block of Rosehill Road. Terrell officers attempted to stop the vehicle as it left the area and a pursuit ensued, police said in a news release.

The chase ended when the vehicle became disabled after it collided with the center cable barrier while going westbound on Interstate 20.

After the crash, all three occupants in the car were injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.

Manuel Martinez Jr. and Derric Simmons were identified by police as the driver and front-seat passenger.

Martinez and Simmons allegedly kidnapped the third occupant from another North Texas city and drove him to Terrell. Then they forced the victim into a home, where they confronted the resident at gunpoint, police said.

The suspects bound and blindfolded the resident and robbed the home, police said.

After the attempted traffic stop and chase, officers found about 4 pounds of crystal meth and several guns in the car, police said.

Simmons was arrested and faces multiple felony charges, including manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of firearm, evading arrest with a vehicle, aggravated kidnapping and burglary of a habitation.

Martinez faces charges of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, aggravated kidnapping, and burglary of a habitation.

The identification of the kidnapping victim and further details about the alleged kidnapping and the robbery have not been released.
