A suspect is in custody after allegedly kidnapping a man in Fort Worth on Friday, officials with the city’s police department said.

Fort Worth police solicited the public’s help in locating the suspect, 27-year old DMarshae Leontay Jenkins, on Friday evening, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

Jenkins is accused of kidnapping Jermaine Deshawn Robinson, 46, at gunpoint and forcing him to drive off in a blue Hyundai Sonata, police said.

Robinson’s son reported the incident to police around 2:30 p.m. Friday and alleged that Jenkins was making Robinson drive out of state, according to an online incident report.

Robinson has since been located and will be reunited with his family, officials with the Fort Worth police department said.

It was not immediately clear whether Robinson and Jenkins knew each other, or what motivated the kidnapping, officials said.

Booking details and charging information for Jenkins were not immediately available Friday night.
