Five suspects detained after 911 caller reports being shot at, Fort Worth police say

Fort Worth police are investigating a shots fired incident after a 911 caller reported being shot at Tuesday night, Oct. 22, officials said.

The shots were fired in the area of Glen Garden Drive and New York Avenue, in south Fort Worth, police said. A group of suspects reportedly pointed at least one gun at the victim, who was passing by in a vehicle. Officers were dispatched to the area around 10 p.m. and found bullet holes in the vehicle.

A search warrant was served at the residence where the suspects were believed to be located, and five people were detained. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

No injuries were reported. The full police report isn’t available online, but it appears the incident may have been drug related, according to police records.
