North Richland Hills police investigate fatal hit-and-run on Sunday

Police in North Richland Hills are investigating what they called a hit-and-run that killed one person Sunday evening, Oct. 13.

Officers responding to the 6400 block of Onyx Drive South found the victim with serious injuries. He was treated at the scene and transferred to a hospital, where he later died, according to police.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 64-year-old Jose Angel Valles.

Witnesses identified a driver who was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter and collision involving death, officials said. The North Richland Hills Police Department identified the suspect as 27-year-old Jacob River Morgan.
