Three people were hospitalized Thursday following a shooting in downtown Dallas, according to authorities and media reports.

At around 12:15 p.m., officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 1800 block of Commerce Street.

Three people were found shot at the scene, according to police. The victims were taken to local hospitals, but their conditions are unknown, police said in a news conference Thursday afternoon.

There is no information available about the suspect, according to police.

Call logs show the location matches that of the Continental Building next to the AC Hotel, Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV reported.

Sources told WFAA that shots were fired during an argument and the victims are two adults and a 16-year-old Dallas ISD student, who are all expected to survive.

Residents of the Continental Building told the Dallas Morning News they heard multiple gunshots. Dayana Bailey, who has lived at her apartment in the Continental for three years, said she saw blood in the hallway and elevator when she left her unit, the Morning News reported.

She plans on ending her lease immediately, she told the Dallas newspaper.

Carolyn Brock, another resident, told the Morning News that those living in the building have repeatedly voiced their concerns over security.

The investigation is ongoing. More information will be published as it becomes available.
