Two men were shot, one fatally, Monday night at an apartment complex in east Fort Worth after pulling their guns on someone, officials said.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 3700 block of Holton Circle shortly after 10:30 p.m. They found a man with gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was already dead when police arrived, officials said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has identified the man as 29-year-old Davon Lamar Collins. He died in a breezeway at the apartment complex from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the medical examiner’s website. Collins’ death has been ruled a homicide.

Investigators learned that he and another person had pulled handguns on the suspected shooter, police said. The suspect took out his own gun and fired several rounds, hitting both men.

Police found someone matching the description of the second person who was shot receiving treatment at a local hospital.

No arrests have been made, officials said.

The Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting.
