Woman who stole $1.2 million from Southlake luxury home business sentenced to prison
A woman who stole $1.2 million from her former Tarrant County employer was sentenced last week to 35 years in prison.
Staci Blackmon, 39, in April pleaded guilty to two counts of theft over $300,000. Judge Julie Lugo on Aug. 13 sentenced Blackmon in the 372nd District Court in Tarrant County.
From May 2020 to June 2022 Blackmon stole money from accounts owned by SCH Homes, a Southlake luxury home builder, according to the indictment.
Blackmon used most of the stolen money to purchase TikTok coins, according to the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. She also paid for a Dallas Mavericks suite, furniture and travel.
The victim in the second theft case is a person, not a business.
