Investigators are trying to identify the person who shot a 17-year-old boy outside a home in southeast Fort Worth on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Officers found the 17-year-old on the ground outside a home in the 3800 block of Sue Circle around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital and is expected to live.

Detectives believe the shooting may be gang related and are trying to identify the shooter, who after the crime fled the scene in a vehicle. Based on preliminary investigation, they think the victim also fired on the person who shot him.
