Argument between neighbors leads to fatal shooting in North Richland Hills, police say
A North Richland Hills man was arrested Sunday after he was accused of fatally shooting his neighbor during an argument, police said.
Authorities received a 911 call about 3 p.m. reporting a shooting in the 7500 block of Windhaven Road, North Richland Hills police said in a news release.
Officers found the 48-year-old shooting victim in the front yard of a home. He was taken to Baylor Grapevine Hospital by fire department medics and was pronounced dead.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as William Edward Platt Jr.
The suspect, 60-year-old Alan Pattee, was determined to be the victim’s neighbor, police said. He remained at the scene and was arrested and transported to the North Richland Hills Joint Detention Facility.
Pattee, who faces a murder charge, was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on Wednesday. His bond has been set at $1 million.
