Man shot in back of neck in possible attempted robbery in Fort Worth Monday night

A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the back of the neck in what may have been an attempted robbery at the Chisholm Ranch Apartments near Hulen Mall, according to police.
Fort Worth police said officers were called to the 4700 block of Riata River Road around 7 p.m. Monday to find the man with the gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police have not said whether they have identified or detained any suspects. Investigators with the gun violence and robbery units are investigating the shooting.
