Arlington police seek leads in shooting that killed 22-year-old man in neighborhood
Police are investigating a shooting that killed a 22-year-old man in east Arlington on Wednesday night, officials said.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Rameses Leonard Forward, of Forney.
Officers responded to the 2400 block of Hollandale Circle shortly after 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, when a caller reported hearing gunshots and seeing a man on the ground, police said. Forward was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police said it’s not clear why Forward was at the location and he didn’t appear to be known at the address where he was found, which is a residential neighborhood near Berry Elementary School. Detectives are trying to find surveillance video from the area and witnesses who may have seen the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
