Suspect is charged with murder after 52-year-old man was found shot , Plano police say

A Plano man was arrested and charged with murder after a 52-year-old died from a gunshot wound, the Plano Police Department announced in a news release Saturday.

At around 11:30 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the 6700 block of Roman Court in response to a shooting.

Officers found a male victim on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound and immediately began life saving measures, according to the release.

Plano Fire-Rescue transported the man to the Medical Center of Plano where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the 52-year-old victim is being withheld until next of kin are notified.

William Holma, 40, of Plano, was arrested in connection to the shooting and is charged with murder.

Police believe the incident to be isolated and does not pose a threat to the public.

The Crimes Against Persons Unit is investigating the shooting.
