Man dies of multiple stab wounds after getting into a fight at Silver Horse Lounge

A man was stabbed to death after getting into a physical fight at a bar Tuesday, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

Police were dispatched Tuesday to the Silver Horse Lounge in the 3300 block of East Lancaster Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a deceased male victim with an apparent stab wound to his upper torso.

Detectives found that the victim and an unidentified suspect became involved in an altercation that escalated into a stabbing.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, according to police. Homicide detectives are investigating.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 44-year-old Steven Lee Smith and ruled his death a homicide. He died due to multiple stab wounds, according to the medical examiner.
