Argument leads to fatal shooting in Oak Cliff area, suspect in custody, Dallas police say

A woman was fatally shot during an argument Thursday morning in the Oak Cliff area, Dallas police say, and a suspect is in custody.

Officers responded to the 2300 block of Nicholson Drive around 11:45 a.m. regarding a shooting, officials said. Investigators determined the victim was involved in an argument with 29-year-old Eric Thomas, who is accused of shooting her.

Authorities haven’t released the name of the victim, but said she died at a local hospital from her injuries. Police took Thomas into custody and he faces a charge of murder, officials said.
