A man was on Monday shot to death at a house in Fort Worth under circumstances that police did not describe.

The man, who the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified as 43-year-old Eliazar Eli Acosta, was shot about 12:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of May Street, Fort Worth police said.

Acosta died of gunshot wounds to his head and torso, according to the medical examiner. He was pronounced dead in the emergency room at John Peter Smith Hospital.

Police did not announce an arrest. Homicide unit detectives were investigating.
