A woman was injured when another woman stabbed her with a kitchen knife in a north Fort Worth apartment early Wednesday, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of Vela Lane around 3:40 a.m. regarding a cutting call, officials said. They found a woman with a laceration on her abdomen. Police said two women had gotten into an argument, and the suspect stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury, officials said. The suspect was not at the crime scene when the officers arrived, police said.
