Fort Worth police are investigating a cutting incident that left one man injured near downtown early Tuesday, officials said.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of West Lancaster Avenue and Henderson Street shortly before 1 a.m., police said. They found a man with laceration wounds to the hands and chest. The victim was arguing with the suspect when that person pulled out a knife and cut the victim.

The suspect fled the scene, police said, and the victim declined to identify the suspect or press charges.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. There is no suspect in custody, and the Central Division Criminal Investigations Unit will investigate the incident.
