The 21-year-old man who was found shot in a Dallas parking lot in April has died, police said Thursday.

Rogelio Castro-Gomez died Tuesday in a local hospital. Castro-Gomez was found in a vehicle in a parking lot located in the 9300 block of East R.L. Thornton around 7:30 p.m. on April 16, according to police. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

The suspects, identified as Jose Sandoval Johnson, 23, and Valeria Garcia, 23, have both been charged with murder, officials said. Johnson was arrested on April 26 for aggravated assault and is in custody at the Dallas County Jail. His charge was upgraded to murder on Wednesday.
