Fort Worth child kidnapped in stolen car returned safe to parent, police say
A child has been safely reunited with their family after someone stole a car the baby was in Monday night, according to Fort Worth police.
Police received a call around 7 p.m. Monday that a vehicle with a baby inside had been stolen from the 3300 block of North Pecan Street, a residential area in north Fort Worth, according to a news release.
According to police, officers found the vehicle and the baby Monday night. Police did not say how long it took to locate the vehicle or where it was found.
According to a police report, a 25-year-old Fort Worth man was arrested and faces charges including kidnapping, abandoning and endangering a child, and auto theft. The suspect, Elliott Cain Reyes, was booked into the Fort Worth Jail about 1 a.m. Tuesday.
