Police in Hurst investigate domestic shooting death of 42-year-old man in apartment

Police in Hurst are investigating the April 28 shooting death of a 42-year-old man in his apartment in a homicide that investigators believe started with a domestic disturbance, according to a news release from the department.

Erik Jermaine Lewis was killed around 3 a.m. April 28 by multiple gunshot wounds, according to police and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website.

Officers responded to a shooting call at the Tribecca Pointe Apartments in Hurst, at 601 Brown Trail, to find Lewis dead in his apartment, according to police.

Police have not announced any arrests or publicly named any suspects. They said Tuesday that the case will be referred to a grand jury.
