One young man was killed and another was arrested after a shooting at a party Saturday night in Johnson County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Johnson County sheriff’s deputies responded with Joshua and Godley police officers after authorities received multiple calls about the shooting, the sheriff’s office said in a news release posted to Facebook.

The victim, whose name and age have not been released, was shot in the face when a fight broke out at the party, the sheriff’s office said.

A suspect, 19-year-old Spencer Orlando Gilbert II, was arrested. Gilbert was booked on suspicion of kidnapping and evading arrest, the sheriff’s office said. Investigators expect him to face additional charges including murder.
