A man died on Monday in south Fort Worth when he was shot multiple times in the upper body, police said.

The victim was fired upon about 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Martin Street and Miller Avenue, Fort Worth police said.

Patrol officers found the suspect’s vehicle and detained a possible suspect. At midday on Tuesday, police had made no arrests.

The victim, whose name and age the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released, was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police declined to say whether the victim was in a business, a residence, a vehicle or on foot outdoors when he was shot.

Another person was shot about the same time elsewhere in the city.

A man was shot twice in the left arm and three times in the torso at Cobb Park in the 2700 block of Cobb Park Drive West, police said.

The victim arrived at John Peter Smith Hospital in a private vehicle about 7 p.m.

Police did not describe the victim’s condition or announce an arrest.
