Boy shot relative to death in altercation at northwest Fort Worth house, police say
A juvenile on Monday afternoon shot to death a man who is his relative at their house in northwest Fort Worth, police said.
The man and boy were involved in a verbal and physical altercation at the house in the 3300 block of Ray Simon Drive when about 4:45 p.m. the boy shot the man multiple times with a handgun, Fort Worth police said.
Police said Tuesday that the boy, who was at the scene when officers arrived, has been taken into custody of the juvenile detention center.
Police did not release the boy’s age or describe his precise relationship with the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office had not as of Tuesday afternoon released his name or age.
Homicide detectives were continuing an investigation.
