A 62-year-old woman driving a pickup truck died on Sunday on an interstate in Arlington in a collision with another pickup, police said.

The driver of a Ford F-150 was traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 when near Collins Street the pickup sideswiped a Dodge Ram 1500, Arlington police said, citing an account of witnesses.

The Ford’s driver was ejected about 2 a.m. and was lying in the median. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A 47-year-old man who was a passenger in the Ford was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The impact caused the Ford to spin into the median and roll before stopping on its side.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the name of the Ford’s driver.

Neither of the two people in the Dodge were seriously injured, police said.

Police suggested that alcohol may be a factor in the collision. The Ford’s driver and passenger were not using seatbelts.

The driver of the Dodge will not be charged, police said.
