Suspected drunken driver crashes into house in south Fort Worth, police say
A 30-year-old man is suspected of being drunk when his vehicle hit the back of a house in south Fort Worth around 7:20 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Fort Worth police said the suspect was traveling “at a high rate of speed” and struck two parked cars on Willing Avenue. He lost control of his vehicle, hit a third vehicle in a back yard in the 1300 block of Curtis Court and then hit the back of a residence, police said in a news release.
The occupants of the home and the driver were not injured, police said, but the collision caused “severe structural damage” to the residence.
The police incident report identifies the suspect as Christopher Perez of Fort Worth. He was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and taken to the Fort Worth City Jail.
