Three new suspects have been arrested in the October 2022 death of 18-year-old Hayden Scarlato, while charges against two other people were dropped, according to police in Kennedale.

Nicolas Luebano, 20, and Kristopher Luebano, 17, were apprehended by authorities in Ellis County in December, police said Tuesday.

Another man, 19-year-old Emmanuel Bear, was arrested in Allen by the U.S. Marshals Service on Saturday, according to the Kennedale Police Department news release.

All three men face charges of capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to court records.

Authorities previously arrested two other men, Xavier Aguilar and Sonny Ayala, but police said Tuesday that they “have been cleared of any charges at this time.”

Scarlato and another person, a minor, were shot Oct. 26 at a car wash located in the 6300 block of Treepoint Drive, according to police. Scarlato died of his wounds that same day in a local hospital.
