One dead after argument turns to shooting in Fort Worth on New Year’s Day, police say

One is dead from a shooting early Sunday morning in Fort Worth that stemmed from an argument, according to police.

Fort Worth Police responded to a shooting call around 2 a.m. at the 100 block of Barclay Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a male victim with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Detectives determined the victim and suspect had been in an ongoing argument prior to the shooting. The victim came to the location to continue the argument, where police believe he was shot by the suspect.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene before police arrived and is not currently in custody.
