Fort Worth officers arrest woman after hit and run, pursuit of stolen car, police say
Fort Worth police arrested a woman Monday night after they said she left the scene of an accident and led officers on a chase in a stolen car.
Central Division officers were called to the A&S Food Store, at 2912 Vaughn Blvd., which was the scene of a hit-and-run accident, police said in a news release.
Police learned that the suspect vehicle was reported stolen, and at about 9:45 p.m., a patrol officer spotted the car headed east on Avenue H. The officer tried to pull the car over, but the driver didn’t stop, police said.
The pursuit lasted about 12 minutes before the suspect returned to the accident scene, where she was taken into custody, according to the release. The woman faces charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and evading and resisting arrest. Fort Worth Jail records identify her as Diana Gargar, 18.
No one was injured in the incident, and the only damages were to the stolen car and the other vehicle that it hit, police said.
