Police investigating homicide after man shot in east Fort Worth neighborhood

Police are investigating the shooting death of a 20-year-old man that occurred in the Meadowbrook neighborhood of Fort Worth, officials said Saturday.

According to a police press release, officers were dispatched Friday night to a shooting call in the 4300 block of Panola Avenue. They found a man with apparent gunshot wounds on his upper body.

The man, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as Ernesto Adan Gomez Morales, was pronounced dead at the scene. The time of death was listed as 10:15 p.m.

According to the press release, homicide detectives have identified everyone involved in the shooting, but as of Saturday morning no arrests had been made.
