Man in critical condition after being shot in south Fort Worth, police say

A man is in critical condition after being shot in a south Fort Worth residential neighborhood early Thursday, police said.

According to the police incident report, a 911 caller heard three gunshots and saw two people arguing in a driveway in front of a house in the 4400 block of Rector Avenue.

A spokesperson for the police department said officers were dispatched to the area of Rector Avenue and West Seminary Drive around 2:30 a.m. and found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The man was sent to a hospital and was in critical condition.

A suspect was detained, according to police, and gun violence detectives were notified.
