Woman on 911 call when multiple shots heard; 2 bodies found in Lewisville parking lot
Lewisville police are investigating a domestic violence murder-suicide Thursday that left two people dead in a parking lot.
Multiple gunshots could be heard on a 911 call early Thursday before the call went silent, Lewisville police said.
Once they arrived on the scene, police found the bodies of a man and a woman in a parking lot of an apartment complex.
The names of the deceased had not been released by authorities pending notifications of relatives.
The woman on the 911 call had told dispatchers that her marriage to the man she was arguing with had recently ended.
Dispatchers received the call at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday, and police went to the scene in the 200 block of East Farm Market 3040.
Witnesses also called 911 to report a man had shot a woman multiple times, then shot himself. When they arrived, officers found the woman lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshots to her chest, and the man with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot to his head.
The woman was transported to Medical City Lewisville hospital, where she was pronounced dead at approximately 6:30 a.m. The man also was taken to Medical City, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 7:25 a.m.
Lewisville police had been called to the address before to handle domestic violence-related incidents.
The investigation continued Thursday.
