A Fort Worth police officer was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and has been placed on restricted duty.

Officer Tyler Mabry, who was off-duty, was arrested on Wednesday by Willow Park police, the Fort Worth Police Department said in a news release Friday. Mabry was booked and released from the Parker County Jail on Wednesday, according to jail logs.

Fort Worth Police Department Internal Affairs immediately began an administrative investigation, upon hearing of Mabry’s arrest. Mabry has been placed on restricted duty and stripped of all police powers during the course of the ongoing criminal and administrative investigation, police said.

Mabry, 30, of Weatherford, has been with the Fort Worth Police Department for two years and was assigned to the patrol bureau at the time of his arrest.
