A 48-year-old man faces a murder charge after a late Sunday shooting in southeast Fort Worth left another man dead, authorities said.

A man died from gunshot wounds he suffered Sunday night at a duplex in southeast Fort Worth, police said Monday.

Police arrested a 48-year-old man at the duplex.

The name of the man who died had not been released, pending notification of relatives by authorities.

Fort Worth police received a report of a shooting at about 11 p.m. Sunday in the 5200 block of Village Lane.

A caller told police that someone was outside with a gunshot wound, according to a police log report.

When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds being treated by medical personnel. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

The suspect was found lying on the ground.

Jail records identified the suspect as David Arce who was booked into the jail at just after 6 a.m. Monday. He faces a charge of murder.

Fort Worth police did not release any information on a motive for the shooting.

Homicide detectives are investigating.
