Gunman shot, killed another man after traffic wreck on University Drive in Fort Worth
A motorist shot and killed another driver early Monday after a traffic wreck on University Drive in west Fort Worth, police said.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office had not on Monday afternoon released the name of the 43-year-old man who was killed.
Fort Worth police responded to a minor wreck about 2:30 a.m. Monday on southbound South University Drive at the westbound Interstate 30 entrance ramp.
The man who was killed and the shooter got into an argument, a Fort Worth police spokesperson wrote in an email. The argument escalated to gunfire, police said.
The man who was shot was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several people were detained at the scene, police said. Homicide unit detectives are investigating, and police did not announce an arrest.
