1 person injured in shooting at west Fort Worth apartments; SWAT units respond, police say

One person was injured in a shooting at a west Fort Worth apartment complex early Thursday morning, and SWAT units responded to the scene, according to a police call log.

Shots were fired around 1:30 a.m. in the 6000 block of Ridgecrest Lane.

Responding officers said they found one person suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said. The person was taken to a local hospital.

When asked if the incident involved a standoff or a barricaded person, police didn’t provide additional details.

Police were unsure what led up to the shooting and their investigation remains ongoing.
