Fort Worth police searching for shooter after SWAT standoff at apartment complex

Fort Worth police are searching for a suspect they said shot someone at a south Fort Worth apartment complex, according to a police spokesman.

Police said the victim was shot sometime around 7:35 p.m. in the arm and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

SWAT officers were called to the apartment complex in the 3800 block of Great Basin Lane after a spokesman said they had reason to believe the shooter had barricaded himself. Police later found out the shooter wasn’t barricaded.

As of 10 p.m. Friday, the shooter has not been located.
