After minor interstate crash, passenger shot in North Richland Hills, authorities say

A person who was involved in a minor crash on Tuesday night in Hurst shot a passenger in the other vehicle on Loop 820 in North Richland Hills, police said.

The victim suffered an injury that is not life-threatening and was taken to a hospital, police said.

A person firing from a silver Chevrolet Malibu shot an adult passenger in a pickup truck about 9:45 p.m. on the interstate near Boulevard 26, North Richland Hills police said.

The crash occurred on Airport Freeway in Hurst.

A female drove the Malibu, and a male was a passenger. At least one of them fired upon the pickup and struck it six times, police said. The Malibu sustained rear driver’s side damage in the crash.
