Man slain in south Fort Worth shooting, authorities say; police investigation underway

An assailant shot a 47-year-old man to death on Tuesday afternoon in a residential section of south Fort Worth, police said.

Kevin Brown was shot in the head about 5 p.m. in the 2100 block of Beacon Way, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. Brown lived elsewhere in Fort Worth.

A Fort Worth police spokesman did not say whether Brown was indoors, outside or in a vehicle when he was shot. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police did not announce an arrest.
