Man shot dead, others injured in gunfire at gathering in Fort Worth house, police say

An 18-year-old man was shot to death and other people were injured when they were fired upon early Saturday at a south Fort Worth house, police said.

A disturbance erupted and the victims were shot about 2:30 a.m. during a gathering at the house in the 4200 block of Glen Abbey Drive, Fort Worth police said.

Daequon Macon of Fort Worth died in the living room, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Other shooting victims arrived at hospitals in private vehicles. Officer Tracy Carter, a Fort Worth police spokesman, did not release the number of other victims.

Police did not announce an arrest.
