3 shooting suspects arrested near Fort Worth’s Hulen Mall after pursuit, 2 others escape

Police arrested three people and were searching for two others Tuesday in the shooting of a tow-truck driver earlier in the day.

The three were arrested near the Hulen Mall, 4800 S. Hulen St.

Fort Worth police said no shots were fired in the area.

The suspects had fled after police stopped a vehicle near the mall that matched the description of the one involved in the shooting of the tow-truck driver, who was attempting to repossess a car on Tuesday morning. The driver suffered a minor gunshot wound.

A social media post by Fort Worth police said this, “Large police presence at Hulen Mall.”

The suspects were captured near Macy’s, but two others ran away. Police did not release the names of the suspects.

At one point, mall patrons and employees were escorted out while officers conducted a sweep, according to Fort Worth police on social media.

Fort Worth police said Hulen Mall was secure and open for business
